Brother and Sister Legere,
We have been able to spend the last week with your dear missionary son as he has now been assigned to our ward. We have been working on helping them to get their apartment up and running so that they can spend all of their time finding those that the Lord has prepared to hear His word.
The picture we are sending is of Elder Legere and Elder Essel teaching Elizabeth last night in the Niamkey home. We are the Niamkey's Home and Visiting Teachers and have watched out for them for over a year as Elder Bailey was able to baptize Brother Niamkey, his wife Susann and their little daughter Marie. Now they are bringing all of their friends and relatives to hear the gospel in their home. The little boy on the floor is Benjamin who is the Niamkey's 4 year old son.
Elizabeth, is Brother Niamkey's brother's maid. (Whew!!) She has had three discussions and last night she was taught, The Plan of Salvation by Elder Legere and Elder Essel. We are so grateful for the missionaries being back in our ward as we have not had any for several months and our French is terrible which has made the work almost impossible.
We want to express how much we love your dear son. He is a wonderful example of an obedient, faithful, diligent missionary. He knows in whom he trusts and lives to have the spirit guide and direct him in this wonderful work of the Lord. You should be very proud of him and the work his doing !!!
Thanks again for preparing such a valuable missionary for the Lord. He speaks so highly of his dear family and especially of his love for the both of you..
