Burning his 'Year Mark' Shirt

It is a tradition to burn a white shirt in celebration of hitting the 1 year anniversary of the mission. If you look closely, you can tell that this was done on the balcony of the apartment. Because of the dissolution of the government and election, there is a lot of civil unrest and violence. They have to be in at a certain time and "lock the cage" (I am assuming that is the security bars.) They are not allowed to open it again until the next morning.
